It is located on the Rilan Peninsula where everything traditional tourist can be done by car, preserving a quiet and noiseless atmosphere.
The infrastructure is beautiful and its decoration in the warm common spaces is distinguished and welcoming.
The rooms are spacious and with a beautiful view of Castro Fjord, we even saw a rainbow. Very comfortable beds and impeccable bathroom. The fantastic shower.
Breakfast is very complete and dinners are worth it! A dynamic menu, all fresh and with local products. Very good wine list!
The highlight is the personalized attention from the moment of booking. The owners and staff make you feel welcome at all times. The recommendations for each place we went are appreciated.
Being a rest hotel focused on adults, a pleasant atmosphere is generated.
I honestly believe the hotel has a well earned reputation and would definitely stay here again without hesitation. Congratulations

You can see a lot of dedication in every detail, both in the rooms and in the attention of their workers.
The girls took care of us very well, worrying about arranging a dinner and breakfast suitable to our vegan diet.

You see in the environment a team of people who enjoy what they do, Monica is undoubtedly the engine and energy of this place. In all the details he has sought to convey his love for this wonderful project and especially his passion for this great Island of Chiloé.
An unforgettable experience, delighted to meet you, we will definitely return.

Perched on a hill at the end of the Rilán peninsula, the hotel commands uninterrupted views across the Chiloe archipelago and the bay leading to Castro. The panorama is magnificent; the kind that rewires your sense of place. The building itself is a study in restraint: a bold, contemporary structure of wood and metal, defined by clean lines and vast windows that frame the landscape as living art. The effect is immediate and lasting—one of deep calm and quiet privilege.
Public spaces are generous and elegant, thoughtfully curated without a hint of excess. Guest rooms continue this philosophy, filled with natural light and oriented entirely around that view. Comfort here is tactile and sincere.
Dining is a compelling introduction to Chilote terroir. Menus celebrate local produce with genuine skill—the seafood is exceptional, the house-made pasta a lovely surprise, and the wine list is nothing short of remarkable.
But what elevates this stay from excellent to essential is the hosting. Monica and her husband extend a welcome that feels both professional and deeply personal. Before arrival, Monica curated a detailed day-by-day itinerary: suggested guides, a scenic coastal driving route from the ferry, and a memorable lunch stop at the wonderful La Chancha Cholita in Quemchi. Every recommendation was informed, unhurried, and quietly transformative.
If Chiloe is on your Chilean itinerary—and it absolutely should be—there is only one place to stay. Estancia Hotel Rilán is not just the best option on the island; it sets a new standard for immersive, high-end travel in southern Chile.

The quality of the meals is exceptional, all delicious, well presented and with top-notch ingredients. You can notice the care and affection in each preparation.
The attention of the staff deserves special mention: always friendly, attentive and willing to help, making one feel really welcome from the first moment.
And the view spectacular. A real privilege to wake up and enjoy such a nice and well-kept environment!
It is certainly a place I would go back to and I totally recommend for those who seek rest, good food and a high level experience.
If you come to Chiloé, the Hotel Estancia Rilan is faroos the best option .
Thanks Monica and Rodrigo for everything ❤️

ABOUT US
We aspire to be the link through which you discover all the magic of Chiloé, and that in this first-person encounter with the Chilean insular Patagonia, you get to know the fauna, flora and customs of the south, where the result of this experience is curiosity, enjoyment, joy, rest and the desire to return and continue to know.
For this we have worked with passion and professionalism; looking for the right place, designing and building a beautiful, noble proposal that would make the landscape framed in each point of its structure; what we achieved thanks to the Office of Architecture Ortuzar and Guebauer, who together with a great team knew how to unveil and capture everything.
Our commitment is to offer a transparent proposal, which integrates the community through its different services, through collaborative work with other entrepreneurs on the island: artisans, fishermen, restaurants, tour guides, etc. In particular, we are proud of our «Collaborative Space», where artisans, entrepreneurs and artists from the area bring their products for sale, setting their prices fairly, we often advise and help them in the sales and dissemination process, not demanding a payment for commission or rent, the sale price is 100% of them.
