Great adventure, comfort, food, peace. The accommodations were absolutely beautiful, clean, and high quality—though we had great weather so barely able to take full advantage of the spacious rooms and comfortable lounging areas. Great hikes (intense!) and days on the water, followed by hot tub, sauna, and well-timed massage made for satisfying and packed days. Every dinner was a treat—and the best steak after the craziest hike (ALL the way up Trek Tagua Tagua takes a lot out of ya) was absolutely appreciated! The kitchen chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff are the best. We were well looked-after by Rodrigo, Noe, and Gaucho ;) while Mati and Lucho made sure we got where we were going (and back). I would recommend this place over just about any other on earth—take your sense of adventure, love of nature, tough boots, waterproof layers, and flashlight. Leave your phone in your suitcase.

This lodge has everything wonderful rooms, friendly & attentive staff, delicious food, fabulous activities, and breathtaking views at every turn. Regardless of your interest fishing, hiking, swimming, biking, etc. They have it all! We had a group of four couples and we all had the time of our lives. Cannot recommend Barraco Lodge highly enough. Truly a first class experience.

We had a fantastic experience, which mixed rest, nature and adventure. The lodge is a magical place, which preserves its roots and adds good taste and comfort. Our family had a tremendous time at the Barraco Lodge. Our great outdoor ventures like fishing, hiking and canyoning were only surpassed by the cordial and warm hospitality of the lodge‘s team. A wonderful stay all around that we will remember for a long time.

Unforgettable stay the Lodge is the ultimate and in perfect harmony with the wonderful natural environment. Everything was perfect. Matias welcomed us and accompanied us in our stay to please us in everything we came up with and more, thank you so much because we went on vacation 5 days, but we were given a perfect Honeymoon. The fishing day was wonderful. Special thanks to the 2 chefs what a way to eat so rich! they delighted us with pure delicacies that I still relive just by remembering. UNFORGETTABLE!!

One could come here and do nothing and still be blown away—by the magnificent view, the tranquility, and the charming accommodations. The staff raise the bar to another level with their skill and thoughtfulness. Be prepared to "pay to play" but it was so nice being taken care of and a real treat to have incredible food in such a remote location.

- The quincho BBQ experience + soups and desserts by the incredible chefs
- Visit to Thermas del Sol 20mins away and Allerce cabin

- Should have gone horseback riding in the river
- Doing the insane hike behind the lodge toward the end vs. beginning

The food was excellent and so was the staff!! Yuri our helicopter pilot was fantastic. I would give him a 10+ not only the way he flew the helicopter but explaining the surrounding area and his takeoff and landings were so smooth. We could not tell that we had even landed.
The only thing they could improve on is that I was cold in the mornings and I was cold at night and maybe there’s something they could do that doesn’t require burning wood to smoke the entire room.

Amazing experience!! We stayed two days, great place, lovely everything, great equipment, attention, food.

What an amazing compound, with multiple cabins, some with private wood-fired hot tubs, all with fantastic views. Everyone of the staff were open and welcoming, from the owners, the concierge, the tour guides, chef & kitchen staff housekeeper, grounds keeper, helicopter pilot (yes, helicopter) to the three amazing dogs. Some of the most amazing food we've had - ever!!!

Our stay at this charming lodge was the highlight of our three week tour of Chile. The location is remote and private, nestled onto the banks of the Tagua Tagua river. The lodge itself is intimate, cosy and incredibly charming. Our room had a stunning view of the river and we could hardly pry ourselves away for the fabulous excursions. Among our favorites were the Tagua Tagua hike (a challenging 9 miles) and the horseback riding. Everything here is top-notch from the food to the guides. Even the owners dogs added to our incredible experience at Barraco. You will not want to leave this majestical place!

As we boated into the Barroco lodge I felt like we were living that scene in Marry Poppins where they jump into a sidewalk drawing. It’s so beautiful that you feel like you’re living in a picture. Surrounded by verdant hills and crisp blue water, the amphitheater of nature surrounds you completely, and you have no other option than to be absorbed by tranquility.

The owners, Jamie and Marcella, are ripped straight from a Ralph Lauren ad: the charming helicopter pilot and the beautiful volleyball star, who have carved out a civilized life - far from civilization. The rugged opulence infuses everything at Barraco, from the gourmet meals cooked over an open fire (thanks Obed!), to the expert adventure guides (thanks Thomas!), to the hospitality of the kitchen staff.

Jamie told me that their goal was to show people how they live, not to conjure an experience for tourists. They’ve achieved this with humility, grace, and hard work. If you ever get a chance to join their family - even for a few days - it’s an experience you’ll never forget.

One of the best experiences ever! Barraco adventure starts with the helicopter in and it just keeps getting better. Our team felt more like a family and they could not do enough for us. We had family dinners and great adventures together. The wood burning hot tub was a nightly event. Our room was rustic and cozy and I never slept better. Can't wait to get back someday.

We stayed here for four nights in January 2023 and honestly didn’t want to leave. Our room was gorgeous with enormous windows, a seriously comfortable bed and a wood burning stove for those chilly evenings. Every member of staff without exception was friendly and went out of their way to ensure our stay was the best it could be. The food is amazing, healthy and extremely tasty - from the barbecued whole lamb to tuna steaks grilled on a fire in the woods in the drizzle! We enjoyed all the activities we tried, only sad that we didn’t catch many fish. The lodge’s dog Gaucho is a real character and insisted on coming on our cataraft for our fishing trip which made for an interesting day. It’s not cheap, but I promise you, Barraco Lodge is worth every penny!

It's difficult to explain this incredible place. The insanely stunning location, the access to amazing adventures, the fabulous lodge and rooms are all a big part of it, but it's the team that really bring it to life. Every one of them is special and make you feel at home.

Enjoyed four amazing nights at the lodge with Hymie and his staff. Everyone was super friendly and made us feel like we were at home.
We did a short but adventurous Trek (specially if you like clambering over wet boulders ) horse riding to a local farm house (where we were treated to a fabulous local lunch and shown around the farm) and fishing on the lake. BBQ lunch was fab!
The chalet style rooms all have wood burning stove‘s which are kept lit for you whilst you’re out. Wood fired hot tubs are available when you get back from your days activities.
The food was excellent and we even enjoyed a barbecue one evening (in a covered outdoor area ) with unbelievable views!
Definitely recommended!
