We had a wonderful two night stay here. The hotel is beautifully designed, with stunning views over the Rilan peninsula. The breakfasts and dinners were very good, but note that you have to select your dishes a few hours ahead of time due to the small number of guests. The owners/managers are heavily involved and provided extensive recommendations for our exploration of Chiloe.

This hotel achieves the almost impossible goal of being unbelievably beautiful (inside and out) but at the same time welcoming and peaceful. The common areas, with large comfortable sofas and huge windows facing the gorgeous landscape of the Rilan peninsula, beg you to stop and relax. The same is true for the dining area and the huge terrace (same stunning views). On a clear day, the snowy peaks of Patagonia are visible in the distance. The bedrooms have huge, comfortable beds and floor to ceiling windows that showcase that view. And the shower, with its glass panels, ceiling and views, is possibly the nicest shower I have ever used. Monica and Rodrigues and the entire serving team are super welcoming and friendly and the food (breakfast and dinner) and cocktails are wonderful (they will cater for food allergies with advance notice). I am not a wine lover but if you are the specially designed wine “cave” will delight you - the history and geography of Chile is told here in wine. Make sure you ask for a visit!

This is the second time we go to the Rilan Hotel, this time we invited our in-laws. Last time we came with friends. It burdens me to make this tribute, but honestly , Monica and Rodrigo deserve the best review. The problem will be that if more people know about this hotel, it will be more difficult to find a reservation. But it's worth it, the place is beautiful and Monica is the best at giving information and suggestions, they are spectacular.

we are wrapping up a 3week trip in chile and hotel rilan was our last stop. we certainly saved the best for last!! the hotel is a hidden gem in chiloe. our chilean friends brought us here and we are so happy they shared their favorite place with us.
the hotel is beautiful, the setting is gorgeous, rooms & beds are super comfortable & stylish, the food and ambience are absolutely wonderful. most outstanding are the owners monica & rodrigo who are such warm & generous people you feel like you are staying at a friends’ beautiful home.

What a wonderful place! The hotel's architecture captivates you from the first moment, each space is designed with a purpose. The common areas are ideal to enjoy the magnificent landscape of Rilan. There are details everywhere related with the culture of the region. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable with large windows and great views, even in the shower.
However, the best of this hotel is the people starting with Mónica and Rodrigo, the owners, followed by the rest of the staff. Mónica and Rodrigo make you feel like friends. Always attentive to the needs and offering recommendations to ensure a good stay on the island. The first night Mónica showed us the wine cellar "La cava" and gave us a fantastic review of the wines and spirits they have. Dinners are not to be missed. el chef Luis Acuña from Rucalaf Restaurant delighted us with exquisite dishes every night. Last but not least, Lilian, Jonathan and the rest of the staff were very friendly and professional.

The place is just wonderful, the views to the beautiful fjords and islands around Rilan are a great way to relax. The hotel's architecture is a piece oft art by itself. Monica, Rodrigo and the staff make you feel at home and are willing to help you with any questions and special requests. A great surprise was the CAVA, an impressive collection of chilean wines from multiple regions of Chile, you would not expect something like that so far away from the central valleys of Chile. All in all a great hidden gem in the heart of Chiloe where I hope I can get back as soon as possible.

Beautiful Boutique-Hotel in a lovely hill-countryside like landscape, very quiet. Short " jungle walks " just behind the hotel with a romantic bench at a small pond. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the owner couple is even friendlier, absolut top!
The food has to be preordered as it is set up somewhere else ( castro ? ) but there is a team of cooks on site which gets the food ready and can do some dietary finetuning at your request. Very good quality and tasty.
The rooms are spacious and show a nice interior design, comfy beds and spacious shower.
This hotel stands out of all chilean hotels in design and setting and the owners give their ultimate touch to perfection a must on chiloe and in chile!

This is a fantastic property - probably our best stay in Chile. Monica has done a fantastic job in terms of thinking about the room and the common areas. The rooms are big and the balcony (which is designed in a way to offer great privacy) offer a great view. The showers also come with a view :)

We were driving into Chiloe late at night and Monica was in touch with us throughout to ensure we had no issues in terms of finding the exact location. At 10pm we messaged en route to ask if we could have a later dinner in the room after we check in and they arranged it for us. Guillermo spent a lot of time with us explaining Chiloe, things to do etc.
The common areas are very well designed and you can see the amount of thought that has gone into furnishing this hotel. It was a pleasure spending time there.
If you are in Chiloe, I would highly recommend Estanica Rilan and I would even go as far as to say go to Chiloe just to stay here.

We aspire to be the link through which you discover all the magic of Chiloé, and that in this first-person encounter with the Chilean insular Patagonia, you get to know the fauna, flora and customs of the south, where the result of this experience is curiosity, enjoyment, joy, rest and the desire to return and continue to know.
For this we have worked with passion and professionalism; looking for the right place, designing and building a beautiful, noble proposal that would make the landscape framed in each point of its structure; what we achieved thanks to the Office of Architecture Ortuzar and Guebauer, who together with a great team knew how to unveil and capture everything.
Our commitment is to offer a transparent proposal, which integrates the community through its different services, through collaborative work with other entrepreneurs on the island: artisans, fishermen, restaurants, tour guides, etc. In particular, we are proud of our «Collaborative Space», where artisans, entrepreneurs and artists from the area bring their products for sale, setting their prices fairly, we often advise and help them in the sales and dissemination process, not demanding a payment for commission or rent, the sale price is 100% of them.
