Gerardo, Xinia, Manuel, Jason, Jorge, Josue, Kimberly, Don Miguel, Don Ivan and this just to mention a few, all always attentive to one having a more than pleasant and pleasant stay.
Thank you.
The welcome is very pleasant with always a lot of kindness; the very high-end tents and perfectly equipped in the middle of nature with a very beautiful view confirm this impression of small paradise
The living areas are very nice , armchairs, hammocks , sunbathing , paddle and kayaks at your disposal .
Small pool , plus a child and 1 Jacuzzi next to the bar for great comfort;
Good quality pdj and restaurant very well located with a beautiful panorama and great cuisine, (always a little expensive )
Small flaw of the site: the transparency of seawater is not top!
Sea excursions for wholesale fishing are possible.
From our short stay of 48 hours we will remember the heavenly side very present , and especially the extreme kindness of all the staff.
Arrival was by a 5 minute boat ride and the welcome was lovely.
Restaurant beautiful overlooking the water, great food and as two vegetarians we had plenty of choice. All freshly cooked.
We did the early morning birdwatching boat trip which we thoroughly enjoyed, the guide was very good. Not as many birds as in the forest areas obviously but still lots to look at.
I had a massage which was excellent.
Would highly recommend for a relaxing break.
The tent cabins were beautiful. Monkeys hanging from trees made my kids' trip. I will return.
Our main reason for choosing the destination was for the bioluminescence which was an incredible experience but my husband and son also went fishing from the island. The chef prepared their catch and the staff joined in with celebrating their success!
An amazing experience we will not forget.
We have been living in Costa Rica for a few years and love a family gateways exploring this beautiful country. Some trips lead us to mountains and waterfalls, others to hot springs, but our always favourite is to explore the islands.
Isla Jesusita is such a stunning little island in Gulf of Nicoya, we paddled all around it on kayaks and admired so much wildlife and rock formations, the most epic one is Praying Hands.
We also were mesmerized by magic of bioluminescence during night tour.
Waking up in the comfortable glamping tent with all the comfort of luxury hotel was a magic too!
I’ll never forget Hot Stone massage in the spa overlooking the ocean. So relaxing and peaceful there!
The food was incredible. We are all plant based, and all vegan creations by The Chef were truly delicious and beautifully plated!
We have already planned to come back in September for another round of bliss, adventure and relaxation!
The store had all the amenities: Minibar, coffee maker, bathroom amenities, safe and even yoga mats in the morning! And the jacuzzi on the terrace with sea views was a dream 😍
We did the bioluminescence tour and the oyster expedition, both an extraordinary experience.
Another thing I loved was that it is a sustainable hotel, with renewable energy and sources for you to refill your water bottles. The food was also top 10, fresh and homemade and natural juices that were to die for.
And what can we say about the natural environment where it is located, in addition to the beautiful beach, it has a very beautiful walk, an orchid garden and a Spa with sea views. The monkeys, raccoons and iguanas will be your neighbors and it is a pleasure to listen to them in their natural habitat. I have the sounds of this island etched in my memory.
Thank all the staff for their attention, super friendly and always willing to help.
I will definitely repeat the next time I return to CR!
Welcomed with a cocktail after a short taxi boat ride, we spent two very pleasant days in this glamping. The place is really welcoming, the tents comfortable, the staff very helpful. A small downside for the meal on the second evening, with a snapper that was way overcooked, too bad.
The prices are rather high and the alternatives difficult to access since we are on an island.
The second night, we slept little, as the animals were having such a party
Still, the setting is truly magnificent, and we would have liked to stay there a little longer, if the road didn't call us!
I was still pleasantly surprised. I'm in the tourism business, so I know how much work it is to create an experience.
First off, "glamping" is a bit misleading. The tents are about 400 square feet with a full bathroom and pretty much every amenity you'd find in a hotel room. The housekeeping is impeccable. The space between tents is strategically maintained to break line of sight, so you have a surprising amount of privacy.
The staff are incredibly friendly. Speaking almost no Spanish, I was a bit concerned. Xavier, at the front desk, was a consistent English-speaking presence who was always keen to help out, trade fishing stories, and suggest other things to try given my miserable luck of actually catching the big ones.
And the food! The oysters on the menu are literally from the oyster farm across the bay. The mahi mahi isn't just "catch of the day," it's literally caught that day. And if you're looking for even more authentic, if you catch a fish, they'll turn it into your dinner, with fried plantains and salad and all the rest for $10.
My one consistent issue was with availability of kayaks. I'd booked with the explicitly-stated purpose of floating in a kayak and fishing. I'd confirmed that this was possible pretty much all day, every day. I was told it was.
The first day I went to borrow a kayak, I was told I wouldn't be allowed to use one to fish out of. I followed up with several people. I was told the manager was in a meeting, but they'd ask, and within a few hours, I was told that no, the rule stands, I would not be allowed to use a kayak to fish.
.what?
I told them I'd be checking out, given that I had it in writing that I'd be able to do that, and that it was the ENTIRE point of my trip. As I was packing my things and looking for a nearby place to rent, I got the call. The manager had relented, and I'd be allowed to fish from a kayak. Which was GREAT news, because I was already in love with the place.
Over the course of the next week, I noticed the general trend that at almost random times, people would be told they can't borrow a kayak. Why not? It was never explained. Or that it was too windy to go out past the buoys, when the water was almost entirely flat, we were on the lee side of the island, and if you went to the other side, the wind would push you right back to shore.
This turned into a considerable frustration for myself and others, but honestly, not enough of one to deduct a star.
But aside from that, I can't say enough good things about every aspect of this place!
